I lost the road, a simple task down the yellow brick road swayed by the temptation of a man-boy. Through the darkness of the bedroom, I tell him “I love you too”. But it is not the quintessential love, and to my dismay I waste my younger years pretending to feel that raw echo with him, the way I felt for a hazel-eyed girl so long ago. She is now caught in the sunlight as she shatters the waters below a train bridge, as I fight off the last punishment of the Narnian winter that engulfs my torn heart.
