This blanket of night is cold and uninviting, for my heart has canvassed this field of years I share with you and I realize you belong to another sky. A flash of lightening strikes the mind, and moving pictures of yesterday come alive once more.

The strobe lights had pierced the autumnal air as both my arms lost all inhibitions. I turned my head and witnessed you fuel a carnal hunger in the lit darkness.

I held you for a few moments in time, and as my lips touched yours, I felt the dizzying spell of one too many vodka bombs. You faded from view, and the scenes haunt my mind, for I don’t think you ever unlearn a first love.
